Deliverable 4.5

In Deliverable 4.5, Wageningen University and Research (WUR) evaluated a protocol for the extraction of proteins from S. latissima. Through their research, they described protein extraction from seaweed biomass, as well as from residue streams (coming from the alginate extraction). Finally, WUR developed a protocol for the isolation of protein from S. latissima from a liquid phase (soluble proteins) and from a solid phase (membrane bound proteins).
