Deliverable 6.2

For Deliverable 6.2, TNO took the lead in presenting a techno-economic assessment for seaweed value chains. These included: cultivating seaweed in a one-dimensional framework; storing seaweed using either ensiling or drying techniques; valorizing brown seaweed towards mannitol, laminarin, fucoidan, alginate, and solid residue product; valorizing red seaweed for prebiotic oligosaccharides; valorizing seaweed through functional feed and food by co-fermentation with canola meal; and valorizing residue streams and seaweed through anaerobic digestion.
